week 6

In this week's session i learned about verbal presentation. This information consisted of elements that are needed to present to a high standard. This is essential to practise in front of an audience as it will help to boost ur confidence and make sure the timings and other issues are running smoothly. The presentor also needs to be smooth on commuincation skills as he/she needs to be portray their arguement efficently and effectively, this is vital when engaging with the audience and so the audience will be interested. When we say pratice makes perfect, it wouldnt be perfect but it would be to the best of the person's abilty. Doing their best in their eyes is something that is perfect and are happy with it. Also if someone is also aware of that person's weaknesses and have shown a vast improvement in themselves their opinons would be also said as perfect meaning its to the best of your capability.

  1. It is hard to achieve perfection - I know the saying says 'practice makes perfect', but I suspect a perfect presentation would need that extra something that is hard to define.
The elements mentioned in the lecture are aids to an effective presentation, not a perfect one.
    How would you define perfection?
Would everyone have to also think it was perfect for it to be perfect, or is it enough to be called perfect if only one person thinks it so?
